uravappara



Uravappara-a place related to one of our(INDIA) epic Mahabharatham.It is believed that the Pandavas together with Panchaly stayed here during vanavasam.Here we can see footage of Bhima and panchaly's kitchen.

Uravappara is big rock about 100 meter hight ,more than one kilometer in length and about 50 meter wide on the average.Not easy to climb during monsoon. Main attraction is a temple-Temple of god Murugan(Subrahmanian).The annual festival is on Thi-Pongal(february) and the temple is open on the first date of every malayalam month.



















Uravappara is located near Thodupuzha,Idukki district Kerala. Those who like trekking can opt this place for an exciting evening
